Who We Are

At Crimson Umbrella Creation Society, we're a group of people working to create safer working conditions for sex workers in a digital age. We plan to run workshops for working safer online, as well as provide a private, low-cost filming and editing space.

What We Do

  • Networking Events

We plan to run networking events for sex workers in the Lower Mainland to create community and skill-share. If you'd like to join us, please email aylameretrice@gmail.com.

  • Filming and editing space

We hope to be able to run workshops on how to create digital content and soon hope to provide a space for our members to film, edit, and stream at a private location in Vancouver.

  • Workshops and Learning

For those new to creating online content, we will be running safety workshops, editing workshops for those wanting to upgrade their skills, and ad writing workshops for those wanting to refresh their online presence.

Why do we exist?

For those outside the sex work industry, it might not be obvious that sex workers in this new era of digital media might need help learning to work online or that working from home might not be feasible for everyone. For many of us, home is a private space that we wish to keep separate from work. This includes sex workers.

There are many reasons why someone would use our services, particularly the filming and editing space. For some, they risk their housing if they create content from home, others live with unsupportive families or roommates who would not respect their need to engage in content creation. Others are new to online sex work and need help setting up a safe system, and yet others want to upgrade their skills in content creation with like-minded people who won't judge the kinds of content they work with and create.

Help Us

We currently can't accept donations as we can't open a bank account without incorporating. Until then, keep an eye on this page and our social media!
